Howdy!
I'm looking to get started for next year, and looking to do it well.
I have a smart-home system that I would to integrate my lights/controllers with. I'd like to get the most out of them too, so I'd like to mount them for Halloween, leave them up for Xmas, a special sequence for NYE and then top it off with some Australia Day lighting.

I'm familiar with networking, can code a little. I'm UI/UX (User Interface) Designer by trade - but dabble in lots of stuff.

I have zero lighting hardware except for dumb led strings.
I'm interested in smart RGB, in strings/panels etc.

I don't have great street frontage - but I have a long steep driveway and a deck that overlooks it, looking back down.

Anyway - time to start preparing for next year and getting the WAF and Financial Approval Process started

I highly Suggest reading the 101 Manual which has all the basics covered and it the best place to start to learn all the technical jargon.
