I have not long signed on and I am now finding myself addicted to pixels, contollers, rgb and sequencing . My interest in Christmas displays started last year with a few lasers and a projector to create a unique display for our area. After joining this forum I have found a whole new list of ways to spend a whole wad of cash. This hobby ticks all the right boxes for me, Computers, Electronics and Christmas. I have read 101 back to front as well as the ECG-P12R manual and lightshow pro manual. Thankyou for all the work from Aussie Phill and Fast Eddy. Your generousity with information is a credit to you both. I plan on making a 24 string half tree this year using the P12R contoller. I will also be looking at the new DR2 to send data to some easy dmx contollers from Ray Wu. I have received 2 orders so far from him and his service has been great. I have also ordered some IP68 abs plastic cases to house contollers and Powersupplys. The power supplys I'll use will be Modular PC power supplys as I have my own computer retail and repairs business and have easy ready access to them . I'll post when I complete their setup as it may be of interest to someone else. Thanks again for sparking my interest. I'm sure I'll make mistakes along the way but I'll have bloody good fun doing it.
 
Welcome to ACL, im gald that you have found the learning material to be a good help.

Now we have a name for your addiction and its called CLAP (Christmas Lighting Addiction Problem) Unfortunatly once you get it then its very hard to get rid of and it sounds like you may have caught it like the rest of us. feel free to jump into the chat room as there are many fellow afflicted members in there that can help and share ideas. So all the best with your RGB journey

Unfortunatly CLAP only seems to effect the wife in the month of December, otherwise they seem to get back to normal and think we are crazy for the rest of the year
