Hi. Based in UK - sitting here in cold, wet and windy conditions!! I am a retired academic (computer scientist), recently bereaved, so decided to start learning about LED light control (we are still locked down so a bit stuck at home). Previously I had students doing all the actual builds for me - now I can have fun doing it myself!

Welcome and condolences for your loss. Lockdown is a good time to discover a new hobby and this one certainly offers plenty to challenge the mind with a good mix of theory and practical to keep you on your toes.
