Hello,

I have a 16 channel Hinkspix Controller which has worked fine for a number of years.

The fault is odd, it is not displaying anything from either Xlights or Da_tester E131 test software.

These are the tests I have already tried.
Check IP address is reachable from PC running E131 software, it is and I can load controller webpage.
Controller showing green in Xlights
I have changed and tested on another IP address just to be sure but exactly the same issue.
All output tests on the controller work 100% all lights lit as they should just not when receiving E131 data.
The LED on the controller flashes when I send it E131 data.
When I watch the rx packet count on the web status page it jumps about 150 a second when it is receiving the data.
I have factory defaulted the controller and set it up afresh but I still have exactly the same issue.

Can anyone think what could be wrong or any other test I can do?
To recap all outputs test fine and we know the controller is receiving E131 data but it does not display on the actual lights.

One other oddity is sometimes if in either software I toggle the light output to OFF the lights will display a static display of the frame as I clicked OFF. So in the test software say I select all red nothing happens I click output off and the display will only at that point show red, if I select black turn the output on it still shows red but then turn it off again and it will then go black. If using an animated display the display will just show a fixed frame as the output is turned off!.

Thanks

Ian

Hello

Thanks for the reply.

In "Test Outputs" I have cleared all the ports, not sure of any other test settings.

Yes, only one device is sending, on the status page I can see the universe received count go up and stop when I stop sending, the universe errors are all zero.

Very odd and very frustrating.

Thanks Ian

Version 2022.23, have downloaded the latest version but not installed it until I have things working as I didn't want to add another variable into the mix.

This is a screenshot of the status page if it helps:

All this is correct as I have 1 to 16 as mega tree and the star on top using 17,18 and 19. The counters increase correctly on those channels. The test software only supports 16 universes which again I see when using that software just no outputs.

Thanks

Ian

Hello, All sorted now thanks to Joe. If anyone else has the same issue make sure to delete any unused universes at the end of the used ones in the controller setup even if it used to be like that before. Thanks Ian
