I've been doing animated lighting in Texas with LOR for 5 years. I want to get into some RGB stuff and ease into the pixels. I've been reading everywhere that this is the best place for information. So I'll start doing some reading and probably jump in with questions when I get stuck!

Welcome aboard. The 101 manual is a very good introduction. I would say you are on the money with pixels. If you are sequencing lights then I'm sure it is more cost effective to buy pixels and their controllers that strings and their controllers. You will not want to throw out your existing strings. I use a JS1 P12S to control my pixels and two DMX36 to control my existing strings. You will get good advice in chat. R
