hello all, I currently have a Christmas light display and now want to be able to control the lighting. I only know of the LOR system. But is very expensive to import with tax’s etc Can you please advise me of the best system to use? Also where does everyone buy the lighting products from to work with these units? ie the big trees, led strips for borders etc

Where are you located in Australia? LOR is good, but expensive, so many of us use Pixels and dumb LED';s using a combination of various controllers. Jump on chat one day for some quick help

Cheers looking there now. I will jump on chat over the weekend. I am in Australia, WA Kalgoorlie. I suppose you get what you pay for when it comes to lights.

I am literally in the same boat as you, Ashley.
My mind is still overloaded and I am still trying to figure out what/where to start.
I am looking forward to this journey!

I'm new to this as well but reading the 101 manual has helped, there is still some aspects that i need to get my head around but getting there.

I'm looking at the Falcon 16V3 plug and play kit at the moment, if i'm game enough i might buy the board and power supply separate and house it in some sort of box (it will only sit inside the garage so it wont get wet anyway)

Hi,

I'm in Kalgoorlie as well, all my pixels I purchased from ray-wu's ali-express online store, I've used Advatek Pixlite and Falcon controllers for my display, some meanwell & meanwell look-alike DC power supplies, all programming / sequencing this year was done in xLights.

where was your setup?

I'm happy to show you the controllers, power supplies, props and other bits and pieces that all make it work if you're interested

This thread is very old. An answer might not be needed anymore.
