Hi guys.

I'm just getting into this ready for next year, have already done 2 orders from ray for the display.
What is worrying me is not knowing how to use this software. I just want to know if there is a user's manual I can download and have printed off at officeworks?

I just seem to be able to get more out of reading a users manual than watching online videos.

cheers Wade

wade the best way is to go to the lsp site and look at the lessons on there.

they are great . most were done by Matt from here. so they are in clear English (austrailan ) so you can understand everything he says :D

i have been just starting to get on there forum and looking at a few videos, which is the reason i have decided to go with LSP, It maybe just because it's a new program it's overwealming me a bit

Also there is a lot of great help in chat if you have any problems, I have found this to be really handy

Only a couple of months ahead of you, so ask away, there are no dumb questions. Will be in chat here and there too.

The videos are good, but taking a few minutes to try it yourself is better after you watch it.

I found, a little late, that converting small channel count LOR sequences was an immense help to get going with.

Start with a SHORT song like 1 minute or so with a beat to it if you are going to start from scratch. Change the highlights to a specific color you want and use the mouse beat mode to get your rough timing down while you listen to the song a few times.

Yeah Welcome aboard.. as Yagoona mentioned, Check out the virtual classroom on the LSP website, Otherwise, check the LSP area of the forum and view / watch some of the videos and webinars.

Jump into chat if you have specific questions and we will try to help you out.

You're not alone. I bought LSP last year and only started using it in August this year as I was a overwhelmed by it. Also slightly hindered by the the fact that I didn't start sequencing until November last year and didn't really have time to learn it. Once I started though it was much easier and particularly with the help of everyone here. I didn't have any pixels this year either so my channel count was fairly low. I found just by getting started and setting up all the controllers and preview then moving on to sequencing I got to a point where it is fairly straight forward to do things and then when you get stuck its easier to look for or ask for specific help for that task and learn that way.

LSP is a very complex program that does have a steep learning curve, but once you get over this learning curve you will find a lot of power under the hood to do what you want. I see LSP like a the autocad of sequencer programs, powerful but a steep learning curve.

Thanks for the replies guys, Might be time to buy the advanced license as my trial copy has just ran out.

Cheers Wade
