Hi guys. I have Lased my own Coreflute Props. And about to install the LEDs. Do you rely on the push fit. Or is it wise to use hot glue in the rear to assist the retention.
I am happy with push fit for the props I have from Extreme Lighting Displays (coro) and Ink Creations (actually PVC, not coro). At least then it is still relatively easy to remove a pixel if it is faulty or fix a mistake during installation - e.g. wrong hole or skipped a pixel (only a matter of when this could happen to you!).
If using bullet pixels part of the housing sticks out on the outside which helps keep it in place:
Retention through design is preferred. I have found that hotmelt glue can melt in direct sunlight which would suggest that the temperature that black coro in direct sunlight could get to would melt the glue as well.
Home made laser cutter? How big can it cut and how much to build 1?
