There are firms that specialize in this... the ones I like are the storyline trees people do with Superstar or some other tool, and can get imported into xLights.
When I find them I often add them in because they really have a fun, nostalgic feel. Some vendor examples I used:
General advice is to go to xlights.info and see what's there, if you search for "tree" there lots of things come up but at least half are just tree sequences.
