Mega Tree star material

What are people using to create their props?

I would like to quickly make a star for the Mega tree that I have just finished.

I have the lights sitting around and would like to finish the tree off.

The Tree is 5m tall and 2.4m wide.

How big should I make the star? 1m wide?

For a tree that size, 1m is a must. A quick trip to bunnings for some conflute?
