My Memorial Day Test Drive - Matrix & Strips.

Last weekend we had a pool party at my house so I figured it was the perfect time to try out some of the stuff I've been working on. I blogged about it on my site, but I thought I'd share a couple of pictures and a link to the video. All programming was done in Madrix and only took a couple of hours for 48 programs to run in a loop.

Where did you get your strips from?

I got my strips from Mr. Ray Wu. Here's a link to the exact strip I'm using (http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/701799/209843764-519162566/5m-led-digital-strip-DC12V-input-WS2801IC-256-scale-12pcs-IC-and-36pcs-5050-SMD-RGB.html). 12 IC per meter = 60 segments per 5 meter strip (each segment is 3 LEDs). I originally committed to WS2801 and have 12 of these so far.

I'm starting to think about making the jump to 2811 pixels due to pricing.
