Need some help with Xlight and Twinkly

Hi,

Very new to xlights software so please be gentle. I have a bunch of twinkly lights. This is what I am up to.
1. I can discover and add the twinkly controllers.
2. I can use the test function and make the lights flash. So, they are online and working.
3. I have added the lights to the layout.
4. I have assigned the controller to the lights in the layout (I may be missing some steps here???)
5. I have added the lights to the sequence
6. This is where the problem is. When I select "output to lights" and press play, nothing happens.

I know a lot of people use artnet2twinkly but I have seen set-up tutorial videos on youtube doing the steps above and it just works.

Any ideas on what it could be or what I'm not doing?

I know I have had issues when I click output to lights and press play, if I have not clicked the render button first. If you haven't tried doing that, give it a go.

yes, I have saved at each step and pressed the render button. Thank you for your help.
