Hi all. I joined this community about a year ago and thought it was time to say hello. I have been a Christmas lights tragic for many years, using twinkly lights and wire frames, disposing of them all when I returned to Adelaide from Melbourne after 15 years... only to start again after a year's break. A further move to rural South Australia resulted in another year's break, but this time I kept the lights and was able to decorate the new house the following year. I had wanted to move to addressable lights, but the "Minister for Finance" said no. During Christmas last year, we viewed a sequenced layout, and I was finally given the ok to proceed… little did I know what I had got myself into. There have been many challenges as I came to grips with this hobby and developed my layout, even though a lot was based on my previous twinkly light setup. Each time I had a question, it had already been answered by someone in either the forum or various online videos. The availability of shared sequences introduced me to a range of songs and artists I did not know existed, and they were a huge help in my learning to sequence, eventually resulting in a couple of my own creations, albeit sometimes using effects from other sequences. So, I would like to thank you all, even if you did not know you had helped me.
