Hi all, just a quick introduction.
I'm an old fart who has been dressing up my house for Christmas with lights and decorations for a number of years now. It started off with a couple of strings of basic icicle lights, but over the years it's grown substantially. To date, the lights I've used have been dumb lights, and I'm at the point that, although my display has grown, it's plateaued and I'm looking to do something different.
I've now discovered RGB pixel lights (some would say belatedly) and am blown away by some of the displays I've seen, so I've joined this forum to learn about the world of pixel lights, controllers, show players, power supplies, software and a whole raft of other components, many of which I have no idea of their function. To add to the challenge, I have pretty well zero knowledge of electronics.
I plan to start with a small display to supplement my existing display, with the aim of expanding as I learn how things work.
Thanks for having me on this forum, I look forward to learning from anyone who is willing to offer assistance.
Cheers
George
