Hi
I'm about to do a quick minor revision to the ACL 101.
Things to be added are
-a quick setup and faultfinding process guide
-info on P10 and P5 panels and the octoscroller
-info on Falcon Christmas pixel boards
-a very basic networking guide for E1.31 networks

If there is anything else that anyone can think of can they post on here or PM me with info

I also thought to add small section with the default IP and login details of the common E1.31 controllers. As I don't know them and it usually takes a bit of surfing to find them I'll pop a list here of the ones that I was going to add. If there's others then let me know.

J1 Sys Default IP. 10.10.10.10 User/pass admin/ (blank)
San Devices Default IP 192.168.1.206
Advatek Lights Default IP 192.168.0.50 . Access only via config utility.
Falcon Christmas Default IP 192.168.1.50 user/pass fpp/falcon DHCP
BBB running FPP ssh user/pass is fpp/falcon DHCP
PI running FPP ssh user/pass is fpp/falcon DHCP
Stellascapes Default IP 169.254.0.0 DHCP

In addition to the login details which i have been editing in above I will also try to find a list of all the boards that have an inbuilt test mode and show how they work.

Stellascapes Auto IP on 169.254.0.0/16 or IP allocated by DHCP if it exists.
With out a DHCP server Windows PC will also allocated themselves an IP on 169.254.0.0/16
It's a standard.

From our point of view when using MultiCast you do not need to care about the IP of a device during the show.

It's a pitty Advatek gear does not support it as it has a configuration software which scans the network.
