Newbie question on power injection

Hi all. Merry Christmas!
When powering pixels, am I ok to run only the data cable from the controller and just power the pixel at the display or do I need to connect the power at the controller? Haven’t got controller yet but considering the Falcon F16V3

That's exactly what I do but you need ground and data from the controller. So connect ground and data from the controller to the pixels and power (+ve) and ground from the power supply to the pixels. All the grounds can (and should) be linked, just be careful not to have two positive wires from two different power supplies in the same run unless the PSUs are designed to be run in parallel with either other.

Why don't you look at the falcon F48 a little more costly but it sounds like what your trying to do.
