I found the Nutcracker Tree Building Instructions on another site and also the videos. Due to not being able to hear the video, my hearing not the video, was it mentioned what hardware was used besides the lights ?

I think I can guess what software :p

I used pixelnet for my tree.

I had 12,100 channels in my show.

7200 channels were used on the half megatree
(20x120 flex strips , http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/4m-waterproof-LED-digital-strip-by-tube-DC12V-input-without-controller-10pcs-TM1809IC-m-30pcs-5050/701799_425556741.html
These are 1809. They have 10 ICs per meter but 130 nodes per meter. Each IC has 9 outputs so every node is individually controlled)

I had an etherdongle (E1.31 in, pixelnet out) that connected to my Dell 620 laptop

I had 3 active hubs daisy chained from the etherdongle.
Each hub has 16 strings and 8 universes.

Another 6000 channels were http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/128-node-LED-pixel-string-DC12V-input-new-model-IP68-TM1804IC/701799_495658226.html?_componentAcceptorEnabled_=false
used for arches, windows and eaves.

I did generate my entire show in Nutcracker and used xLights to play and schedule the show

this year i am thinking i will be around 16-20K channels.

thanks

looking at your excel file , if I am building the tree indoors inside a church can I use something cheaper than these

I have 5 sets of these, would they work as a replacement if I purchased more strings?
