Hi All
I'm a little lost with what power supplies I need for my controllers and for the led floods that I have ordered I have been looking on the forums and I may have missed it as there is heaps of info on here
The controllers I have ordered are LOR CMB-16D-QC cards http://store.lightorama.com/cmdedcca2.html
I have also ordered 8 Rainbow Floods http://www.seasonalentertainmentllc.com/store/en/diy-products/14-rainbow-floodlight.html
with a brain

I am new to all of this
This is my first year using LOR controllers and doing any computer controlled lighting so any help you can give will be great
also if there is any other info i need to know i am more then happy to take any advice you can offer

Cant help much with LOR as I dont use it but I do have the Rainbow floods & they are 12v dc, If you drop into chat there are plenty of LOR users that will be able to help

Thanks Beacy
ill hope into chat and ask for help
what power adapter do you use for the rainbow floods? I would hate to get the incorrect one

The LOR controller you have is a DC controller so the power supplies i have used are from Ray http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/701799/209855560-289599951/350W-Dual-Output-Switching-Power-Supply-88-264VAC-input-12V-350W-output-CE-and-ROHS-approved.html
The issue you may have now is getting the power supplies from China in time. You can also use a Computer power supply and then use this adaptor https://www.audiovisualdevices.com.au/viewprod.php?catid=&productid=APC663 or you can buy a power supply form anywhere else as long as the power supply outputs 12vdc for the rainbow floods and supplies enough current to run what you need
Ive notice you have popped into chat a few times, just introduce yourself and im sure some the guys will help where they can
What do you intend to run from your LOR DC controller? and how do you intend to run your LOR controller, using LOR or DMX as the rainbow brain is a DMX controller.

Thanks ɟɐsʇǝppʎ
Ill go into chat and see what i find
The controller you have in the link is for a 12V converter doesn't it need to be a 24V converter?
I will be using the LOR software to control the lights running from my computer what i want to do it get the lights to go to the music
i will have about 96 channels once all the controllers get here
I have ordered a DMX adapter to control the led floods using the LOR software so they will also go to the music
so i will be running it all from one computer running the ShowTime Software Suite S3
Thanks David

I have 15 Rainbow floods i used last year and they are 12vdc unless they have changed which i dont know about, What you now need to know is what elese you are going to run and what voltage that may be as i suspect you are running other things with the other controllers. So you may also need a 24vdc power supply as well if your running 24vdc lighting..
But reading back through chat it appears you may have got some answers from the helpful bunch of guys there.

yea its been great chatting with every one they have been really helpful i will be running a total of 4 16 channel dc controllers and 4 240V controllers also will have 1 flood brain with 8 floods running off it so i am looking at getting
3x https://www.audiovisualdevices.com.au/viewprod.php?catid=&productid=SP-240-30
and 2x https://www.audiovisualdevices.com.au/viewprod.php?catid=&productid=SP-240-12
i think that will be heaps and should also give me a back up if i need it thanks for your help now i just need to work out how to use the LOR software lol
