The Baldrick 17 has 4 X 30 amps plus 1 10 amp input. I am using 12 volt seeds 540 seeds per output at 30% brightness. I’m just wondering how best to power it up. The power supply will be under cover externally. Some questions/thoughts

Should I get a a big power supply or multiple small ones? I’m thinking a big one will make it easier, but interested in views.
What size should I get to ensure I don’t under power it?
Any recommendations to power supply?
would I be better with an external power supply?
I see that there are power supplies and then LED drivers. What’s the difference?

A server power supply is the go for 12V boards with lots of outputs imho. There's 750, 800, 1000 and 1200W varieties and they are compact and highly efficient.
The "LED drivers" are potentially Chinglish translations. A true led driver is a constant current source and a power supply (mostly) is a voltage source. The ratings for the 2 different types of supply will generally be different. A power supply will be something like 12V 33.3A 400W. A led driver will typically to suit 40W,100W etc downlight style led lighting and will more often than not have dimmable or not dimmable as part of the label.

Not really having any experience other than my existing meanwells, do you have any recommendations on the type I should be searching for? I did a search and I’m not really sure what I’m looking for, or the size of the unit for the bald Rick?
