I assume for virtual Santa its in a bedroom/front window? in which case durability and weather won't need to be considered if you stick it to the inside of the window for a rear projection setup (which is what I did for Halloween last year. Our Christmas tree block the window so I don't do VS.) You may also need to consider removing the flyscreen panel too if you have one, to get a clearer picture. And if you do use rear projection (projector located inside the room) then you'll also need to consider reducing the amount of light behind it.
