Sadly my mother (mum) passed away peacefully on Sunday night. She had six days of palliative care after a fall at the nursing home and a chest infection, she certainly proved the nurses and doctor wrong and passed on her own terms and timing.
My sister, one of her sons and I were with her that night and my sister and I for the entire six days, she always had someone with her.
She lived in her own home since dad passed in 2015 till last year and only went into the nursing home about six weeks ago.
a "you can't plan this" story was she ended up in the same wing and the room opposite my partners father, they both knew each other and he spoke with her regularly.
Mum and dad celebrated 70 years of marriage the year before dad passed.
