hey guys, wondering how well 30 pixels per metre but grouped in 3 leds per IC chip would work for roofline and window surrounds. im hoping from a distance it should still blend in ok?
not sure what effects yet but will be running with xlights

That's pretty much what I use and as far as I am concerned it is ok.
However in saying that, I only have 16000 channels as opposed to the 100000 plus that others have and I am happy with that ;)
you do see that it is a block of three leds changing as it runs along, but that is because I know and am looking at it, the viewers don't care, they just see pretty lights :D

Thats what I used on my house outline, windows etc for a few years. I was happy with the result of the 10/30 but I don't care for the overall appearance of strip. Ended up replacing it all with C9's. I think its safe to say most people use 10/30 strip on house outline.
