RGBIC Addressable Lights

Hey Everyone,

Hope you are well.

I cant seem to find anywhere that says that RGBIC addressable lights will work in xLights..

The reason I ask as I have connected a set up and I can not get the colour output correct..
Has anyone used these types of strings before and if so, how did you get the colour output to be correct?

What type of IC are they using, that will be a good start.
Typical types are ws281x (ws2811, ws2812b, ws2813, ws2814 [rgbw], ws2815 etc)
SK6812 (RGBW)
WS2801 (less common now days)
 
Aha, those should work on 99.99% of controllers, the colours you are seeing that are incorrect, are they something like this

You select red but the leds go blue, or are the colours completely random and don't match any pattern/control that you are telling them to do.
 
what controller are you using? How do you have the colour order configured there? And how do you have the colour order configured in xlights?
