HI


If i have a CTP16-Pc controller that give me 16 channels of 240v lights/motifs etc and 2 x CMB24D boards one CMB24D for a tree with 8 2m rgb led light strips (dumb) and CMB24D for rgb led strip along gutter libe and indow plus some spotlights, what channel sequence am i looking for, is that 64 channel. ??

What sequencing software are you using? Not many of us on this forum are using hardware or software from Loght-O-Rama.

That adds up to 64 channels if you use all outputs on every controller. The number of channels in a sequence can usually be changed without having to redo all of your sequencing.

Please visit the chat before going ahead and buying anything. I was new here 3 years ago and I would learn more in chat than I would from hours of searching and reading anywhere else. I'm happy to arrange a time to be there but otherwise there's usually someone else who can help.

Do you have any lights that came with an 8 function controller AND only two wires going to the first LED? The only controller that runs these has a DMX input only. I don't think you can get many DMX channels without buying the advanced version of Light-O-Rama software but you're reaching the limit of what I know.

Also check out these free software options. They're very popular on this forum and they'll run the controllers that you want to use. These are free so there's really nothing to lose if you give these a try.

I'm not sure if Vixen lets you use the LOR signal but the LOR controllers work fine with a DMX signal. There would be plenty of Vixen users here who know.
