SMS to mega pixel tree with FPP

Anyone know whether it's possible to setup the FPP to display a persons name when sent via SMS to a number? I've seen some people do it with a matrix, wanted to give it a shot myself.

Sure, it's possible but there are no (good) off the shelf options in my opinion.

The FPP plugin uses google SMS which you can't get an Australian number for. The other solution requires Vixen which I don't wish to use.

For 2015 I hacked together a database scripts and a usb dongle and used gammu-smsd and FPP matrix tools.
