Can't for the life of me figure out how to add flakes to my layout. I've done arches, stars, trees lined etc but can't get flakes working... videos seem to show clicking a button and adding a shape and then a window opens to upload from vendors designs but I can't get to this..

How do I get this window up?
How do I add a flake that's not from a vendor ie custom layout?

I'm very new to xlights so please speak slowly...

How do I get this window up?

The button that's the shape of a Down Arrow will open up the download screen. You'll need to have internet access from your xLights computer for this to work.

How do I add a flake that's not from a vendor ie custom layout?

If this is your own design, you'll need to make your own custom model.

Hi I'm Suz. Just wanting to add to Skymasters comment, you need to click on the Down Arrow, then draw a box on on your layout for the pop up window to apprear

Thanks @Skymaster and @Zuseleets that must have been the only button I didn't try pushing. Very easy in the end... now to try and make my xlights layout a reality...

You totally got this. Dont be shy to ask any more questions as you come across curly issues, and share a screen shot of your layout when you're all finished. Love to see what you have come up withh
