Hi

sorry if this is covered elsewhere , I have been looking for awhile.. but is there any way to run normal RGB strips off a pixel controller ?? To just do standard colours .. my controller is the Kulp 32 - https://kulplights.com/product/k32a-b/

Any help would be appreciate. Thanks

I think you might be referring to what is commonly called dumb RGB. This is RGB with a separate negative wire for the red, green and blue plus a shared positive. The entire strip can only be one colour at a time. If so then no, a pixel controller can not control this directly. Pixel controllers send data to pixels; they don't switch the power like you need for dumb RGB. To include these strips, you'll either need to add DMX to the setup or buy a 2811DC15 or 2811DC30 from Hanson Electronics.

I'd just replace them with pixel strips if I was in your position. The Kulp can directly run plenty of pixel strips and they can display much more elaborate effects.
