Hey Legends,

Very very new to Xlights.

In the sequencer timeline, you can apply effects to the timeline; however, it appears to be nearly impossible to apply the effect over the length of the song. If you zoom out, you lose the timing bars, and if you try to stretch the effect, it takes forever to stretch it as the timeline is so granular.

Google search seems to show that this is not possible to do?

Does someone have a shortcut?

Cheers

Do you have the radio button on the timing track selected or unselected? It's often much easier to do stuff when this is not selected. (Even if it doesn't solve your current problem, this is a key tip for new users.)

I also recommend having a section timing track, that would make it easy to snap to the whole song.

Can you please send a screen shot, I am unsure as to what radio button you are referring to. Sorry....

You can apply effects to the whole song, see below example. So long as you are zoomed out and can see the whole audio file you can stretch your effect to cover this entire length.
The radio buttons I have circled on the left, in this example I have the Bars timing track (red lines) selected
