The Start of my Setup

Well I figured I would start a thread on my progress. I got an initial setup going 3 days before Christmas this last year with a bunch of NodeMCU boards running WLED. I finally ordered the Falcon F48 just a few minutes ago, so I can get started on mouting that in a large Rubbermaid enclosure that I picked up a few weeks ago. The girlfriend is always giving me a hard time buying this stuff because she wants something on her finger lol. But too bad I have to start ordering haha.

I did get an all inclusive Mega tree kit from Holiday Coro that was setup along with the the WLED boards. But I like the Falcon controllers and figured I would go that route for everything else. And I like the idea of ethernet to run to various props around the house, garage, and yard.

More to come...I am starting to order what I all need to put a matrix on my garage door. So that will be 16 feet long by 6 feet tall.

Placed my first order with Boscoyo yesterday, most of which is actually Halloween stuff, and another order with HC for the pixel nets for the garage door. And picked up an order of pixels, more power supplies, and wiring locally. I got enough to do the garage door and a little extra for more stuff. But will need more when I get to that point.

Here is what it looked like before I took the tree down, the rest is all still there. I screwed the tree up and the spacing between strands is way too much. And when its warmer the house outline will pretty much completely change. It needs to go up onto the peak and not down low. But climbing on a ladder is not my specialty, especially when its freezing out lol.

The Falcon F48 showed up last week, and I got the pixel netting just in time for the weekend. So I was able to get all three pieces populated with pixels. The third piece was cut in half and added to the other two pieces to create a pair of 8' X 6' panels. It has been test fitted to the garage, but I am still waiting on receivers to show up.
