Hi Simon, Welcome to ACL. Last year I had a 3 strings and one wireframe prop on a DMX2-24 board. I sequenced each channel independently using on and off effects. This year, I've added another 8 strings (16ch) which will go throughout my hedge. These have been modelled in xLights as a 16 node single line, across the front of the property. I have used some single strand effects to get chases across them, as well as the twinkle effect. In some sequences, they are part of the "All Lights" group, so fade in and out with full property effects as well. I guess it really depends on how you want it to look. There's no "right" or "wrong" way to do it. Play with it and see what you come up with :)
The title of our introductory lighting manual contains a three digit number. What is that number? Clue: Display basics forum
