xlights join models as a single 'string'

First ever post… I'm still pretty new to this – in XLights, wondering how to define/join the Boscoyo large mini tree (85pixels in 5 strands) + star (simple 20pixel star model) together as a single string of 105 pixels? I want to run that single string off one controller output to drive all 105 pixels. I know how to group the tree and star, and, if I had the model defined as a single 105 pixel string then I know how to do sub models and buffer shapes etc. Just wondering if I’m missing some simple way to join the tree and star models together as a single 105 pixel string? Thanks!

Welcome to ACL!

You need to use the visualise option in controllers tab - drag and drop the strings so that they show as being on a single line.
It will look like this:
