Xlights Pan in 3d

How to i pan (up/down, left/right) while in xlights 3D mode... I'm on a mac laptop so i only have a trackpad...

This might not be the simplest way but I've been able to do it by moving the mouse to one side and zooming out followed by moving the mouse to the other side and zooming back in.
