XLights Text Effect Not Reading OS Font

Hey guys,

Hoping for some ideas here. I'm trying to do a text effect for my tree and I cant get the model to display anything when I am using the OS Font. It does work with the alternative fonts but wont work with any of the OS fonts. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

What is the OS? I am sure I heard somewhere that it doesn't work on older Windows OS.

I had some issues on Linux reading os fonts till I installed more font related things

If you're uisng Windows, you neeed 8 or newer.... Windows 7 and prior wont work due to changes

Try upgrading your graphics drivers.... I believe that has helped for others before.

This is strange, can you show any screenshot of the effect panel setting?

First image is of the another effect working. Second image is of the text effect not working in the some model. Sorry images came through upside down. Not having a good IT day.

So dh snowflakes font, have you tried a regular system font like Arial? Just to rule out that there is something up with the DH snowflakes font...

Hello,

Not sure exactly what is going on but I do have those exact fonts installed and have 2022.20 working. I was able to get the font to display on my mega tree. Here are some screenshots.

Thanks for your help everyone. Updated to the latest xlights. Updated the OS. Completely stumped here.
