If you haven't already, read the 101 manual as there is a wealth of information in there.
I cannot say for sure which is best as I have only used j1sys in the beginning then went to falcon f16.
The falcon is brilliant. There is a heap of help available for it and updates when required.
So yes, if you get a falcon a string of lights and a power supply, you can technically run a show. (or at least get your lights flashing)
Then you are only held back by your imagination
