Hi all, just a quick question i bought 10 strings of 100 12v pixels about 4 months ago finally got around to installing them the last few days they run ok for about 20 min to 1 hr then they start to fail 1 pixel i then replace that then 2 or 3 then 10 that’s now happened to 6 strings. I’ve checked the circuit board and it’s got 12v printed on them. Does any have any ideas

I had similar last year with a batch last year for my mega tree, maybe not 10 but 3-5 at a time(very frustrating!!!)
I think i would have replaced about 60 out of 1440 but after getting my tree running smooth sailing ?
Basically 1 would heat up and take some others with it and it was totally random
Maybe you could ask your supplier what is acceptable failure and seek some replacements

Where did you buy your pixels from? Ebay or aliexpress or one of the vendors that are more popular with the hobby?
Is your PSU running over 12v? A Multimeter could confirm this.
Pixels like anything mass produced is prone to having some failures, but this does seem like a high failure rate.
