I used DC12V WS2811 chip, full color led smart pixel node,100pcs a string, with all black cable;injection molding type on my roof lines last year (IP66) but they didn't like the December rain. Not many failed but a recent inspection has highlighted water ingress and rust stains on the PCB's.

So.. time to think about replacements, I'm sticking with Advatek Lighting controllers and 12V square type pixels, who can recommend good quality affordable replacements. Last years cost me around $600 so it would be nice to get more than 1 season out of them.

Cheers Kev

Where did you purchase the ones you have from.

If they are from Ray Wu then they should have a 2 year warranty........

Unfortunately I bought them but never used them for a couple of years, they sat in the garage in the box then out for last Christmas.

I might email the supplier and see what they can do.

How about using strip- 12 v ws2811, i have zip tied strip to small timber battens that i can take down and store away,
Battens/strip are sipped to the small plastic roof sticky things/mounts.
Works well and minimal roof effect after packup.

I still have unused strip in the hide from the wife box in the garage so that might be a good idea, will have to make a discrete check in the weekend.

I did order a few flexible strips for emergencies thinking they wouldn't arrive till mid December and the box arrived today. I placed the order on the 16th November - arrived in NZ on the 21st November.

These are a really good price as free shipping. I also ordered the Bluetooth controller for testing and it is a cracker, cheap and nice little app to drive different modes.

Amazing service for this time of the year.

BTF and Maxtronics are two of the better ali sellers, great prices and fast shipping as well (and you can haggle a bit if buying lots of stuff!)
