Update old sequences

Hi All,

Hope everyone had a enjoyable and Safe Christmas.

This year, with the help of Lithgow Lights, Keith, Daryl C, Rob, I was able to get my pixels running, 2 years in the making.

As I was a huge LOR user, over 800 channels, I spent a lot of time trying to get the correct LOR channels into DMX, plus trying to setup the pixel/controllers.

I ran my LOR channels through the LOR G3 Director, same sequences for the last couple of years, and when I was able to get the pixels running, I ran them through Xlights, just dis random effects.. It turned out very colourful, lots of comments. Trouble it. Only went for 9 minutes, then I had to restart the random sequence again.

I think I have the LOR to DMX pixels setup in Xlights, I want to be able to update the old xml files into the xml file that has all the updates.

Is there a way off being able to use the latest files, import the old songs, and keep the sequences, but reflect the new numbers for the channels. As I do not want to loose my latest setup, as it has taken a lot of time to reflect the LOR channels

Happy new year Deblen.
Setting up xlights is easier I found than lor. You will need to make a new setup then add your models. Keep a spread sheat of your curren setup.

Hi All,

Is there a way off being able to use the latest files, import the old songs, and keep the sequences, but reflect the new numbers for the channels. As I do not want to loose my latest setup, as it has taken a lot of time to reflect the LOR channels

Hi Len,

As far as I know, sequence xml files don't contain channel numbers, they contain the models, so if you open an old sequence after you have changed the model channel number it should reflect the updated channel number unless you are doing something strange like changing show directories.
