I live on a corner, and would like lights on two sides of my house. Is it possible to easily manage this in xLIghts, or is the best way just to join two photos together showing each side of the house?

Most smart phones should usually have a panorama setting on the camera. If possible maybe stand across the road and get a wider shot of both sides?

Lucky for you!

My wife is giving me beans about not having a corner block or a 2 story house...

You have so much more Real Estate to display lights on!

Thanks guys, I tried to use a photo that showed both sides of the house, then ran into issues with the perspective of the lights in xLights. Maybe it's my inexperience with the program. I'll keep persevering.

That a really beautiful picture! Not sure how easy it is to use for sequencing your display, but it looks mesmerising.
Using a photo of your display setup is the BEST way to sequence for the next year. Rather than guessing were your props are, you have a visual representation of where you had to place them. Then you just reduce the brightness of the image in xlights and line up your models accordingly

I too have a very similar cenario sort of anyway ! And have never put house image on xlights our display is very wide front yard is 60 metres wide but only decorate approximately 40 metres of ! . Only way too sort of capture most of display on camera would be to stand at front door of across the road neighbors house they get the best view! so I have always just put my models on the black screen in xlights roughly where I think but will try again this year !

Hah, I'm trying to make it work... so far I have 26 pics and they don't all show everything...

Where we live, we have a big 6 foot "KEEP-OUT" fence and a couple of Rottis running free to keep undesirables out of our yard!

The fence presents a flat screen, which is easy in one way, but presents its own challenges (as in WHAT do I display) and the 3 palms that we painstakingly grew in the front garden area behind the fence (to give us the illusion of living somewhere tropical) are blocking part of the house and/or carport - which is the rest of our canvas... :p

Its all good! We have 12 months to encourage them to get taller , now where that fertiliser ....

Each place has its challenges, so the trick is to deal with them as best as you can.

We are breaking things up into 3 sections (as a starting point); the Fence (subsections: 2 side panels - short, 3 gates, main frontage); the Roof (3 sides visible) and the Carport (for trees, possible singing faces). There are 2 property-dividing fences either side but I anticipate we will only put a border on those for 2018 ... need room for expansion!!

We will have to play around with XLights for a bit see what we can do with it. Worst case scenario we draw it in an "unfolded-box" style so we can set-up the display.

Theres more than one way to skin a cat!
