Love all the simpler things you do to have such a massive impact!

This ‘Tinting Tubes’ you have/mention where do you get them from? Are they truely from window tinting places?

Think it’s good to see the next generation taking an interest. In our house, the wife is the “Lightung Queens”, I’m the grumpy husband that begrudgingly helps put the lights up and our minions, well, they help if they want food and water!

Hoping to be just as excited this new year as SWMBO and perhaps inspire the younglings to get involved...

Thats correct, pop on down to 'tint-a-car' or places that tint cars or house windows.
the tube that we use is what the tint stuff is rolled onto.
some tint places get charged to get rid of them.. others see it as a way to make money,
but there FREE an if there not.. goto the next tint place.
i have one in town that saves them up for me to pick up every couple of months..

hope this helps

Mate, that’s a ripper! I make regular deliveries to Car Glaziers! Might just give them a call on Monday!

Thank you.

Now after 3yrs or so (depending on storage) they go a yellow tinge.
So i mount the pixel strip to a strip of wood that is screwed inside the tube.
(to be able to keep lights an replace tube down the track)

Since the tint tubes are around 15pixels long (12v strip) ,
I have used a lot of 5m strip that has died/repaired once or twice , so cutting them up to make more tint tubes was a no brainer for me..
so that brings the cost even lower again.
some has put a large pvc ball on top to make a barber/lollypop.
some have made a coro cutout of a flame on the top to make candles.
others have used them in tree's.

Cant wait to see what you produce.
