Controller Passive PoE Solution

In this video I explain how my Passive PoE solution works for powering my controllers full time, whilst allowing the pixel power to be switched off.
Fantastic explanation! What's the Netgear switch you're using for 12v Poe?

It's a Netgear gs308. But The switch itself is not related to the solution, I am splitting the power outside of the network, it'll work with any 100mb network.

Hahha I see now!

I clearly wasn't paying enough attention there - I was imaging a Netgear passive POE at 12v *where on earth did he find this*

Still neat! Essentially creating your own Poe solution to keep the boards powered is awesome.

Yeah the idea was that the boards will take from about 7V-13V or so on their "12V" switch; so by pumping 12V from the computer PSU, even if there's some voltage drop it's not a huge deal.
