Yeah the idea was that the boards will take from about 7V-13V or so on their "12V" switch; so by pumping 12V from the computer PSU, even if there's some voltage drop it's not a huge deal.Still neat! Essentially creating your own Poe solution to keep the boards powered is awesome.
It's a Netgear gs308. But The switch itself is not related to the solution, I am splitting the power outside of the network, it'll work with any 100mb network.Fantastic explanation! What's the Netgear switch you're using for 12v Poe?
