I love being able to re-use and re-purpose things.
These stars are still kicking along, I had some leftover RGB dumb strip that I added to breathe some new life into them.

Re: 2014 Brisbane Mini Interest Thread
The weekend after the long weekend, again!?
Gah.. wont be able to make it, per last year I am in Brisvegas for the long weekend!
I use a digital pacific managed VPS on another forum that I am part of the web team for.
Their support and uptime have been brilliant. However we chose for an Australian based server, cost wise now days I think ACL would probably be better off hosted outside of Aus (it costs us ~$140 a month...
I think looking into a better chat soloution might be best.
Why not look at hosting an IRC server, this allows people to choose their own clients, and you can still using a java based app on the website.
The look great. The first picture is quite small, did you weld them or how was the construction done.
I would love to add some singing tree's next year!
Something I was warned about Ray in chat, and it happened with one of my orders was he will input a fake shipping reference number and the actual correct one will come days later.
Just beware of this >:(
Blinky blink.
In some effects you can spot the "circles" formed by the LED's - not sure what to do to correct this, but I am just living with it at the moment. I think they will still be a nice cheap addition to the display.

Had a first play with some coro this afternoon.
As I am only using BigW style LED strings, I opted for only 3mm.
I was quite surprised by the amount of light given off with only 20 LED's plugged through.
