I think if you swap your ribbon cables over your text will look correct. Swap 4 with 1, and 2 with 3.

If it helps, here is my front view layout in fpp and a picture of the test pattern. Test pattern is in full sun, so i hope you can read it.

The LED Output setting in FPP don't seem to match your output on the test pattern. It seems to be reversed horizontally. Setup shows Output 1, Panel 4, 3, 2 then 1. on the top row, yet the test panel shows output 4, Panel 4, 3 2 1 on the top row. Perhaps change your ribbons for each row... row...

Can you backup you BBB and post it, I'll restore it on my panels and see what happens. I'm only using two outputs on the BBB, but can add an extra strips to make it the same. I'm playing with another set of panels at the moment.

Using your settings, my output (via Xlights) is similar to your images. Only difference in my setup is "Single Panel Size". Set it to "32x16 1/8 Scan" and images work correctly. Try that an let me know. Thanks Shane
