I have a Falcon smart receiver that has stopped working. It failed last night and has the data and power LED's flashing. I have swapped it out to another power supply and still no luck. Any way of fixing it? What could be the potential causes?

I have a large palm tree in my front yard that would provide a perfect 'pole' for a mega tree. Just wondering if anyone has used a real tree as a base for their mega tree? Just looking at options for the tree topper without damaging the tree itself.

Probably a stupid question.....but regarding the 12v fan in the photo....do I just cut off the connection at the end and attach directly to the PSU? Or is there a better method.
