you could try put it through MP3Gain which may clean the file up ... i put all audio file through this to level the sound the same across all nothing worse than thinking you've set the volume spot to only find you have a really loud mp3

rare earth magnets would work and work well, just remember most are very cheap and the coating will come off and rust after a year or so (rust marks wouldn't look good) BUT what will work nicely is Suction Cups ... used a lot on building site now to hold sheets of 6mm coro to windows/ doors/...
