Um I was joking.
And that's what my main concern would be idiots doing something like that.
I would prob looking at using smaller gauge wire with a switch mode transformer at the top. and driver 24-36v up the line. (all depends how high you are going)
I think the 3chan controllers would prob be best. Then bridge from e1.31 for the dmx.
Everyone seems totally focused on e1.31. However DMX still has a place when you need to control low channel counts with distance between nodes. The fact you can daisy chain simplifies wiring and required hardware.
The earth can be smaller then the other conductors. (norm see this in larger 3&4 + earth, in the area 4-10mm)
However in a lot of the smaller twin & earth the earth is the same size. eg 1.5mm flex will be same size.
But why are you looking at mains cables. For the low voltage stick to...
Another Brownsvillian.
I am leaving Townsville in a month.
There was a display In Kelso that was ment to be synced to music but never saw it run.
I know there is a display in Ayr.
There is the static displays in Kirwan off Kern Brothers Drive.
Bit more info on the strips, maybe a link to the items.
I would think dumb strips so you will need a controller for them.
There is a few options. If you are using LOR you can go a CMB-24D Thats a DC RGB controller. It will also require a dongle (converts usb from computer to data the...
The pixlit16 and 6804 are pixel controllers. They control smart pixels (like 2801, 2811) They will not drive dumb pixels.
The 2811DC15/2811DC30 are dumb rgb controllers (they can control non rgb as well)
The way they work is they connect to a port on the pixlite16 since they are really just...
I have a heap of lights from bunnings, I am replacing the transformers and going to switch the DC side of them.
Problem being same type will be same voltage but a different strings will be a different voltage :(
Eg icicles are 31v 2 channels. Where other strings and ropes are different again...
