Thanks, I will give that a try. The seed pixels are 5cm pitch and probably used about 80m so would be painful to do manually.

Thanks yes firmware was 2.50 and had bug where if you enabled test mode and also sent it E.131 it would lock up. I was trying to sort out channel mapping issue between xlights and the F48 so was using test mode regularly. I upgraded to 2.59 and all good now. Thanks!

I knocked up 4 pixel arches out this weekend out of some spare 2812B strip I had. Half a roll of strip per arch (2.5m or 75 Pixels), 2.6m of 20mm conduit and 38 cable ties per arch! Drilled some holes near the ends of the conduit and used builders string to pull the ends together to make a...

I also noted with the memory hold controllers there is a noticeable delay between applying power and when the leds light so cant even run these on a 240 AC controller.

Time base is 1ms/div and 10v/div. I will keep one rope light to play with and pull apart the controller and go to bunnings today to swap the rest.

I have been looking around for cheap low voltage rope light and the Lytworx were the first I have seen at the local shops so I picked 3 up. Bugger! Also got stung with the curtain lights. Had a look at the drive on the CRO and I agree it looks like to much trouble to get working on a DC-48 etc...

I just bought 4 packs of the Big-W 200 LED icicle lights, does anybody know if they can be chopped into smaller sections?, I would like to end up with at least 8 segments total so i half woud be good. Tracing the wiring is making my brain hurt. I will be drving them with 30VDC. Cheers Anthony.
