    ECG-P2 and xLights Trouble

Solved! Had to set the Start Slot to 1 on all 4 strings/universes on the ECG-P2. Still getting a number of univ overruns, but I was able to chase 1 led from one end of the entire run to the other end and it worked great, and all of the lights are now responding correctly.

    ECG-P2 and xLights Trouble

Kicked xLights channel counts down to 510 from 512. Still get universe overruns and colors on the second string are off with the 510 channel count in xLights. Still have the first chunk of string 3 out and all of string 4 out.

    ECG-P2 and xLights Trouble

Having trouble with my ECG-P2 and xLights. Running 4 strings in a row, injecting power at both ends and in the middle. 5V 2811. The pixels work as expected when running the ECG-P2 test pattern. When running with xLights, channels 1-1024 works fine (univ 1 & 2), 1025-1364 are off, and...

    Advice on pixel system?

Thanks for the advice. I think I've got a pretty good idea what all I'll need. There's certainly a lot more to a pixel system than most people would think, especially if you're coming from an oldschool incandescent christmas lighting system.

    Advice on pixel system?

Whats the difference in leds vs chips? Does 60led/m with 30 chips/m mean the LEDs are controlled in pairs of 2? I was assuming 30 led per meter each individually controlled, so I'll make sure that's the case before I order.

    Advice on pixel system?

Will that work with such a long run though, or will you lose too much voltage in the wire running from the power supply to the next set of pixels?

    Advice on pixel system?

Sounds good. Looks like I'm looking at 7.2 amps/meter. Based on distances and lengths I think I'll be best off getting a 5V 10A power supply for each string. Are there any recommendations for power supplies? (i'm in the US). I have a ton of old ATX computer power supplies laying around, though...

    Advice on pixel system?

Let me preface this by saying I know absolutely nothing about pixels. I'm working on a project that needs 2 12 meter pixel runs. I'm planning on using an E682 controller, and was thinking I could get by with 5 of these strips...
