    Are you running the sequnce from xlights or from a Pi or similar. I can connect to my FPP player via wifi which is on a Pi when a sequnce is playing, - contol volume and stop start and change the sequence. But if you are running the sequence from xlights it is not possible.

    the type of battery needed with depend on the "real time clock' , but generally they are a CR2032 or equivalent

    a couple of things to check. 1 - do you have a battery in to power the 'real time clock'. 2 - does FPP have access to the internet 3 - have you selected the correct time zone. This is my time setup
