and I have made the Pi player DHCP and given it a static address in the router
Are you running the sequnce from xlights or from a Pi or similar.
I can connect to my FPP player via wifi which is on a Pi when a sequnce is playing, - contol volume and stop start and change the sequence. But if you are running the sequence from xlights it is not possible.
I am very much like you Alan even though my work like yours hides it.
I work on the sales counter in an electrical wholesale outlet and am forever dealing with people yet I'm very shy and introverted. So Great big Thumbs up to you.
Waterproof connectors not so easy to come by, even for me in the electrical trade, so I keep my powersupplies in the box with what they are powering.
Yes I would see a max current draw from the power supply of about the 12Amp mark as the amplifier is rated at 120W - thats 10A assuming its 100%...
Yes you can run just 1 cable, but not the 18 AWG that you mentioned- volt drop would be of concern and the cable would be getting warm to the touch.
I would sooner use 16 AWG but for preference 14 AWG as I see the max load would be about 12A.
The14 AWG would allow you to be alot further from...
I was wondering if any has had this issue with their Falcon F16V3
I was outside lastnight doing a bit of filming, when All the lights went out.
On inspection, I found that although everything was powered up, the F16 had shut down as if it had had it's power turned off.
The only way I could get...
I am running strings of 200 at 40% brillance and no power injection.
As for the self test- yes, but I find as the power supply does my FPP and outputs 9-16 of the F16V3 it lasts a very very short time due to the F16V3 power up time.
I changed the input plugs to the start of the string to a...
I am currently using 2000 GS8208 12V pixels

I have ordered this time...
a couple of things to check.
1 - do you have a battery in to power the 'real time clock'.
2 - does FPP have access to the internet
3 - have you selected the correct time zone.
This is my time setup
