I have made a 1.8m circle prop out of this and was fine. Smaller arches I have made have eventually cracked as they are out in the weather and it does get weak if under too tight a bend
I'm in this exact situation living in a tiny rental with no shed or garage. Luckily it has a carport area so what i have done is strap about 8 ratchet tie down straps across under the roof and over used that to hold my singing trees, snowflakes, grinch etc.. they're out of the weather and out...
imho 50 is probably only required if running at 100% and wanting your full white to be full white. I run plenty of props up to 300 pixels and do a power balance tee at start and end of string and run about 30% and its fine in my eyes. I'm sure others will disagree and that's OK
I asked this a while ago and the more experienced people said it could and some even have Raspberry Pis or switches in there. I found it was going to be too tight for me so upgraded to a slightly larger box.
you can also look at power balancing (using a tee to put power at start and end of each string) which can be easier than injection... Greg macaree has a good YouTube video on this..
pretty ballsy ( also epic) going for a megatree up front as those 2900 pixels could go a long way to a decent...
this is what I have on one of my baldrick ports and works fine. you still might need more power though as the port limits are dependent on having enough power to run them. if you don't add more power you'll have to run at low % and still might get discolouration or other issues
Condolences from a Baldrick user.. I swear grandparents are harder sometimes even though they're older..I guess it's via usually you have great memories with them.
After 2024 i had big (for me) plans for 2025 and bought 2 more Baldrick 8s and additional 5000 pixels with 1800 megatree and loads more props.
just after the shipments all arrived we decided to demolish house and rebuild so are I a rental this year with small front fence
I've set up 2...
